The intent of this website is to promote the great outdoors of Utah and the marvelous nature connections available across America the Beautiful. 2020 and 2021 will always be known to us as the "Pandemic Years" and a time of political turmoil, social upheaval, and economic tragedy for many. Wow! This is certainly a time when we need to bathe our souls in nature. Here's a great quote about reflection and introspection from John Muir: "I only went out for a walk and I finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in."
The Wisdom of Grandpa Owl... One of my ways of dealing with the physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges of this time has been to post my reflections on Facebook for my friends and family to share. I offer these to you in the PDF below. I hope these will be interpretive and encouraging for you as you reflect as well.
Please let me invite you to preview my book, The Utah Cure, at Amazon.com. Also, there is a book that gives a world view of the challenges facing communities in modern times by seeing through the eyes of a young woman named Tehya. The Parable of Tehya is set in a time long ago that seems like yesterday. It takes place in a faraway land that may remind you of a village nearby. The parable reveals truth for a modern world. It is about original beauty and tribes and the importance of one child. Preview Who Owns the World? - The Parable of Tehya, also at Amazon.com
